Just received a message from one of our Sunshine coast members and they have requested more info on how we can work the waza with bladed or edged weapons in mind. Both form a retention point of new as well as a disarming concept. I am going to see if I can add some to the gasshuku we have coming. If not its a great topic for me to dive into. My thought would be to show each waza with this stuff in mind. What cha think?

I should film the same drill but for the s-mount to armbar. Most blue belts and above work from the s-mount as it creates better control
Great Question. The cool part about all seated waza in KoKoDo is that summer have a standing variation as well. No need to work waza the don’t work well for your body. I have uploaded a video from when I was preparing two students for Nidan. it covers most of the standing pin variations we do. It’s a crest start. You can see the pin in Nidan is very similar to that of Shodan Yoko Katate Osae Dori. It will be posted This weekend. Check your email and the Q&A section of the site
