We have had a request to see KoKoDo Goshin-Jitsu variations from Shodan thru Yondan for Kaminoke Osae - This is the dealing with hair grabs. Formally in the waza at Yondan with the waza Oikake Dori. I plan to show from applications Mae Ushiro, and Yoko. Thanks for the request by our member. This will be a great set to film edit and post.

Kote Dori, Such a practical and effective nidan waza. Has to be one of my favourites for self-defense and goshinjutsu.

I am working on some new videos and will be putting some time on better structure to this site by adding a few more sections to the list. A few examples include a section for bladed work and WSD

Just received a message from one of our Sunshine coast members and they have requested more info on how we can work the waza with bladed or edged weapons in mind. Both form a retention point of new as well as a disarming concept. I am going to see if I can add some to the gasshuku we have coming. If not its a great topic for me to dive into. My thought would be to show each waza with this stuff in mind. What cha think?

I should film the same drill but for the s-mount to armbar. Most blue belts and above work from the s-mount as it creates better control
Great Question. The cool part about all seated waza in KoKoDo is that summer have a standing variation as well. No need to work waza the don’t work well for your body. I have uploaded a video from when I was preparing two students for Nidan. it covers most of the standing pin variations we do. It’s a crest start. You can see the pin in Nidan is very similar to that of Shodan Yoko Katate Osae Dori. It will be posted This weekend. Check your email and the Q&A section of the site
